Palak & Meat

Palak/Spinach and meat is a house favourite. Simple and delicious.

Ingredients

  • Meat ยผ kg
  • Palak (spinach) 5-7 bundles
  • Methi leaves 2 bundles
  • Green chillies 2 (cut into an inch)
  • Coriander leaves ยฝ bunch
  • Onion 1 chopped
  • Tomatoes 2-3 chopped
  • Chilli powder ยพ tsp
  • Turmeric ยฝ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Oil 3 Tbsp (a little extra is better or else the curry turns dry)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the methi leaves, wash thoroughly and keep aside to drain out the water
  2. Wash the meat and keep it aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker. Once it gets hot, add the methi leaves and fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the chopped onion to the oil and fry for some time.
  5. To this add the ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute. Add the green chillies and fry.
  6. Add the chilli powder and turmeric powder.
