Fish Fry

Ingredients

For marination

  • Fish 4 or 5 pieces
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 Tbsp
  • Chillie Powder 1ยฝ tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Jeera powder 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder ยฝ tsp
  • Methi powder (optional) ยผ tsp
  • Lemon juice/Vinegar ยฝ Tbsp
  • Salt 1ยฝ tsp
  • Oil 2 Tbsp (for marination)

Frying

  • Oil For shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Wash the fish thoroughly and keep aside to drain.
  2. In a vessel mix all the above ingredients.
  3. Rub the mixture on both sides of the fish pieces. Keep it aside for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a pan with oil for shallow frying. Once it heats up, add a piece of fish at a time to fry.
  5. Fry on both the sides till well done (usually takes 10 minutes).
  6. Can be served with onion slices and lemons.
