Liver Fry

Ingredients

  • Liver ยผ kg (cut into chunky pieces)
  • Methi leaves 2 bundles
  • Spices 2 cardamom, 3 cloves and 1 inch piece cinnamon
  • Onions 1 (minced)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ยฝ tsp
  • Chillie powder 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes 2 nos.
  • Green chillies 2 (1 inch pieces)
  • Coriander ยฝ bundle
  • Dill (Soy ka bhaji) ยฝ bundle (about 3 tsp)
  • Oil 2 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut up the methi leaves, wash thoroughly and keep aside.
  2. Cut up the onions, green chillies, Tomatoes, coriander and dill and keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a cooker and add the methi leaves. Fry for 30 seconds on medium heat. Add the spices.
  4. Add the onions and fry till light pink. Then add the ginger garlic paste. Fry for a minute on low flame. Add green chillies.
  5. Add the chillie powder and turmeric powder.
  6. Now add the chopped tomatoes, coriander and salt. Fry till the tomatoes turn pulpy.
  7. Add the liver and dill. Add a cup of water. Close the lid of the cooker and cook for 5-6 whistles.
