Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- Bread 1 loaf (slightly firm and not soft
- Milk 1 liter
- Egg 1
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
- Sugar ยฝ cup
- Sugar 2 Tbsp (for caramel)
Instructions
- Boil the milk and remove from fire. Add the sugar and mix till dissolved.
- Then add the vanilla essence and keep aside.
- Beat the egg and add to the milk. Mix well.
- Add the crumbled bread to the boiled milk and keep mixing on a low flame till it thickens.
- In another vessel add the sugar and 1 tsp of water and let it caramelize.
- Rotate the caramelized sugar around in the vessel till well coated. Place the bread mix in this container and put to cooker to which a cup of water is added and stem for 5-10 minutes. Remove and let it cool to room temperature.
- Then keep in the refrigerator to cool.
