Onion Chutney
Ingredients
- Onions 2 (medium)
- Tamarind small lump (1 Tbsp) soaked for 10-15 minutes
- Garlic 3-4 pods
- Chillie powder 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cut up one onion into chunks.
- Put it in a mixie jar.
- Add salt, garlic pods (crushed), chillie powder and the soaked tamarind.
- Do not add water at all, because the onion will leave out enough juice and moreover the soaked tamarind will also contribute to the moisture.
- Grind it to a smooth paste and serve.

This chutney has a tangy taste and goes well with pulkas, chapattis and kichidi
