Thilli (White Sesame) Chutney
Ingredients
- Thilli 3 tbsp
- Garlic 2-3 pods
- Tamarind 1 small lump (should be soaked in some water)
- Chili powder ยฝ tsp (or to taste)
- Salt to taste
For seasoning
- Oil 1 Tbsp
- Mustard seeds ยฝ tsp
- Curry leaves 1 stalk (6-8 leaves)
- Dry red Chili 1 (cut in 3-4 pieces)
Instructions
- Roast the thilli and keep it to cool. Then dry grind it.
- Add the garlic chillie powder and salt and grind again.
- Finally add the tamarind and some water and grind to a smooth paste.
- For the seasoning, add the ingredients in a kadai/wok and then add it to the chutney.
- Mix thoroughly and it is ready.
Notes
This chutney can be eaten with Tomato rice, kichiddi, chapatti, idli, dosa, uttapam, etc.
